About The Author
Paul Harris is a 1986 graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit and a 15-year veteran of professional journalism. He has covered the Red Wings for six seasons for several publications, including Hockey Weekly, the Detroit Sunday Journal and the Detroit News. Currently the editor of Hockey Weekly, he covers college hockey for that publication and The Hockey News.
In a career that also saw him work for the Fort Myers (Fla.) News Press, Harris has covered Major Junior Hockey, minor-league hockey, major-league baseball, minor-league baseball, the NBA and college basketball. He previously authored Heroes of Hockeytown, which is a compilation of stories about the greatest Red Wings players, coaches and personalities of all time.
Harris has also spent time as a sports copy editor and sports editorial assistant, and has written for such publications as The Sporting News, New York Times, Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, Newsday, Houston Chronicle, Philadelphia Daily News, Indianapolis Star, St. Paul Pioneer Press, and Michigan Monthly.
Harris was born on June 18, 1963, in Detroit and currently resides there.
