"a" Started as a Solo Project for Ian Anderson but was Eventually Released as Jethro Tull for Commercial Reasons. "a" was the First Tull Record Not to Feature Anderson's Acoustic Guitar, Yet They Achieved a Far Mroe Balanced Sound Than Previous Tull Records Creating a More Stripped Down Hard Folk-rock Sound, and Moving Tull Into the Art-rock Genre. "a" was the First Step Into a More Hard Edged Electronic Sound and is Said to Be More Reflective Than Much of Tull's Earlier Work with Tracks Such as the Awe-inspiring "Black Sunday" Considered One of Tull's Greatest Moments.
