About The Author
An ISO 9000 and manufacturing expert, Doug Anton has years of actual implementation experience. Leading the quality initiative at a Black & Decker company in 1988, his goal was a quality system to focus not only on the product, but also on company-wide quality and improvement. He found that ISO 9000 has the potential to strengthen organizations when implemented correctly. Since 1993 when they founded AEM Consulting Group, he and Carole Anton have guided scores of companies to successful ISO 9000, QS-9000, and AS9100 certification. They offer public seminars and developed ISO software templates featuring their unique approach to documentation, the Scripted Flowchart Process. Doug managed production, manufacturing engineering, facilities and quality in Black & Decker companies. Now with AEM he leads companies through lean manufacturing and other process and quality improvement projects. Carole's background is in accounting, with CPA firms and also as an internal auditor and accountant with resort hotels and casinos in the Lake Tahoe area. She now directs operations for AEM.
