About The Author
Alex Martelli spent eight years with IBM Research, winning three Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards. He then spent 13 years as a Senior Software Consultant at think3 inc, developing libraries, network protocols, GUI engines, event frameworks, and web access front ends. He has also taught programming languages, development methods, and numerical computing at Ferrara University in Ferrara, Italy. He is a member of the Python Software Foundation and currently works for Google. To date he has authored both the "Python Cookbook" and "Python in a Nutshell" for O'Reilly Media.
